Toyota admite su interés por fichar a Alonso

Toyota ha admitido que alberga al menos un cierto interés en el bicampeón de la Fórmula 1 Fernando Alonso.
El español no está cómodo en McLaren por el comportamiento del equipo tras situaciones como las de Mónaco, donde las declaraciones de Lewis Hamilton en la conferencia de prensa posterior a la carrera fueron el detonante de todo el malestar que se vive actualmente en el equipo.
El ex jefe del español y mentor Flavio Briatore, explicó esta semana que "todo" el pitlane estaría interesado en pujar por el piloto de 26 años.
El diario alemán Bild afirmó ayer que Toyota tiene una cifra total de 30 millones de euros para gastar en pilotos el año que viene, y que estaría dispuesto a tentar a Alonso si en el 2008 se encuentra en el mercado de pilotos.

El presidente de Toyota John Howett, que ha decidido no aceptar todavía la opción del contrato actual de Ralf Schumacher, admite que Alonso está justo en el primer lugar de su lista.
"Por supuesto", se le cita diciendo en Motorsport Aktuell, "y supongo que será lo mismo en todos los demás equipos".
